These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Tater Tot Games ("we", "us", "our"), governing your use of Rent Baron and this website (together, the "Services"). By downloading, installing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Services for your own private, non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use the Services. If you are a minor, you must have your parent or guardian's permission.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: cheat, hack, use bots or exploits, or tamper with the game's files, economy or leaderboards; use the Services for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or disrupt other players' enjoyment. We may suspend or terminate access, and adjust leaderboard standings, for violations.
4. Purchases & virtual items
- Rent Baron is free to download and offers optional in-app purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their terms and refund policies.
- Virtual items and in-game currency (including Gold Keys, Cash, Blueprints and any contracts) have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are licensed to you — not sold — for use within the game.
- Except where required by law or the app store's policy, purchases are final and non-refundable. To request a refund, contact the relevant app store.
- Randomised item mechanics (such as Premium Tenant contracts) publish their odds in-game. We may change, suspend or remove virtual items or features at any time.
5. Advertising
Rent Baron offers optional, opt-in rewarded advertisements — you choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-game reward. We do not force advertising on you. Advertising is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The Services, including all artwork, characters, names, logos, code, audio and text, are owned by Tater Tot Games or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
7. Fictional content
Rent Baron is a work of fiction. All tenants, characters, businesses, estates, events and locations in it are entirely fictional and invented for entertainment. Any resemblance to real persons, properties or organisations is coincidental. The game is a stylised simulation and does not constitute financial, legal, or property advice of any kind.
8. Updates & availability
We may update, patch, or change the Services, and may add or remove features, at any time. The Services rely on an internet connection for online features such as leaderboards and cloud save. We do not guarantee the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we may discontinue the game with reasonable notice.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tater Tot Games will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tater Tot Games has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have non-exclusive authority over any dispute. Nothing here affects the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your own country of residence, which continue to apply.
